Q: How do I make my payments for my shipment?
You can make your payments according to the payment details you can download from our webpage. We accept Credit card payments (VISA and Mastercard), EFT payments, Wire payments, Cheque, and Cash.
Q: Can I have my shipment arranged to be delivered to me directly instead of picking it up from your warehouse?
Yes, you can always discuss the delivery of your shipment whether, you are picking it up yourself, or would like to use our trucking services, with our forwarding experts upon receiving notifications on the status of your shipment.
Q: What documents are required to clear customs?
Total Express requires the e-manifest, commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading or air waybill.
Q: Once a shipment arrives in Total Express bonded warehouse, when do I have to pick it up?
Our warehouse provides 5 free business days to pick up a shipment from our bonded warehouse after which a daily storage fee will apply.
Q: How do I check the status of my ocean freight shipment?
Due to frequent port congestion at Vancouver ports, it is estimated to take 2 weeks, as it takes 1 week for the shipment to be boarded on rail, and an additional 1 week for the shipment to be delivered to Toronto’s container yard.
Q: How long will it take for my shipments in Asia to arrive in Toronto by ocean freight?
It is estimated to take 2 – 3 months for shipments by ocean freight to arrive in Toronto, with current port conditions in Canada.
Q: How do I make quotation inquiries?
You can always send us a quote request through our webpage, or you could always give us a call to have your inquiries answered. When your online request has been received, our logistics experts will respond to you as soon as possible.
Q: Are there fees which may apply in addition to customs brokerage fee?
In addition to the brokerage fee, duty and tax (GST) may apply. We pay these fees to the Canadian Government on your behalf and issue the Canada Customs B3 Coding Form to show you the amount paid.
Q: If I am picking up a shipment from your warehouse do I have to load it myself?
A dock level truck is required for our forklifts to safely load cargo. If your truck is smaller (e.g. a pickup truck) you may have to hand bomb the cargo yourself.
